This is the personal website of Mona Baker. It extends and updates www.monabaker.com, which will continue to be maintained as a legacy site for the foreseeable future. The site offers news, announcements and resources under four main headings, reflecting my own interests and areas of (relative) expertise: Translation Studies, Citizen Media, Palestine (including the academic, cultural and economic boycott of Israel), and Egypt. Because of the siege and the current war, I could not participate in any of these academic gatherings, which were held in the UK, France, Spain, Germany, Jordan, and Cyprus....
